IrMaria

IrMaria took place in the Virgin Islands during the Irma and Maria hurricanes in 2017. Natives from the Virgin Islands combined the names of these hurricanes that caused so much devastation to IrMaria. Our film brings light to this tragedy by teaching those unaware of the events that transpired in the Virgin Islands.

Throughout the film, the mother shields her daughter from the truth of the storm that is developing outside. The daughter is a symbol of childlike innocence. With the storm rapidly approaching, her ignorance of the danger outside quickly diminishes.

Each member who was a part of the film had a connection to the storm of IrMaria. We are proud to bring light to the families who are still dealing with the tragedy. We have dedicated IrMaria to the families in the Virgin Islands and neighboring islands affected by the hurricanes. We hope that our film inspires others to show love and compassion to those in times of crisis.
